A Détacher is a clothing label and store, founded by designer Monika Kowalska in 1998. Kowalska has worked in the fashion industry in both Italy and France. She is passionate about the construction of clothing and makes her own patterns, infusing them with a quiet sense of cool. The resulting garments are individual explorations into surface, form and function, and bring to mind both an architectural intensity as well as a playful poke at the fashion a.p.world at large.

Christian Wijnants is an Antwerp-based fashion designer. Wijnants studied fashion design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, and his graduate collection won the Christine Mathijs prize for best collection from Dries Van Noten in 2000. After working with Van Noten in Antwerp and Angelo Tarlazzi in Paris, Wijnants launched his own label in 2003. His collection is presented in Paris and has won the ANDAM, the Swiss Textiles Award and the very prestigious 2013 International Woolmark Prize.
